LETTRE D'AMOUR

Hear the tearjerking story of a girl who lives worlds away from her true love. Lettre D'Amour is about using music to say what words otherwise can't. It is about a girl who is frightened by how her relationship will survive so far apart, she sings about her doubts, but her hope prevails all. The oboe part represents the girl, while the piano accompaniment represents the memory of her distant partner.

This piece was premiered by the marvelous Grace Stringfellow at Grusin Music Hall for the Pendulum New Music Series in 2019.
